How do I know when the internet services I requested have been activated?

When you request new services online, the services will be activated within a few minutes.  Whether you indicated (e-mail or SMS) as your preferred method of contact, you will receive a message upon setup confirmation of the services.

SMS setup and Fax-configuration requests may take a little longer, and the turn-around-time for these are 30 minutes.

New domain registrations are usually immediate, but name-server propagation could take 24 hours to complete.  For more information, please do not hesitate to contact our technical staff.  support@contact.co.za


How can I link the SMS service to my application, for example POS system?

The SMS and Fax services has a message interface (CMMS), which is compatible for most PC (Windows) applications.

You could therefore submit an e-mail, SMS or Fax message upon receiving a payment, overdue accounts, customer-notifications, etc.

contact® Payroll also interlinks (via CMMS) with the SMS system, and could notify employees about salary-payments, certain deductions, or bonus payments.  These options are customized within payroll system.

Depending on your application configuration, you should also be able to determine send-conditions and messages.

How do I subscribe for these sevices?

You may contact our sales team, or subsribe online, but as most services are linked to a customer-account, the setup of such account will be a prerequisite for the configuration of these services to your profile.  sales@itcontact.co.za


Could I only use some of your services and stay with my current ISP? 

Yes, all our services are designed to easily "plug-into" any other system, or service provided by another ISP or service company.  This however, cannot be guaranteed and a proper test will be required to verify compatibility accross platforms.
